From time to time the club are approached by companies wishing to offer special offers or discounts to members, these are passed on to members via the website.

At the end of the season the club organise a Gala Dinner and Prize Presentations for it’s members, taking place in January at our partner hotel, The Royal, in Scarborough.

Membership Competition Licence.

To Compete in the car Sprint and Hill Climbs, you will need an MSA competition licence. Once you receive your licence, you will also receive a blue book which contains all the regulations and specifications for you to get started in the sport. To apply for a competition licence, visit the MSA website and download an application form, or contact them on 01753 765000.

Similarly for Road Race, Sprint and Hill Climb Motorcycle enthusiasts, you will also need a competition licence. Road Racers will need a full ACU licence (more details can be found on the ACU website). You will see that there are different grades of licences, starting with a novice licence for newcomers. There are also restrictions on machine capacity etc.

In the case of Sprint and Hill Climb competitors, a full ACU licence is recommended if you intend to compete in three or more events during the calendar year. A Road RAce or Super Moto licence is also acceptable. If you intend to only compete at one or two events, taking out an ACU Day Licence may be more suitable for you. This can be obtained from the race office on the day of the event, but you must notify the club of your intentions when sending in your event entry form.

If you wish to download an ACU Competition Licence Form, then visit www.acu.org.uk or phone 01788 566400.
